I’m a coward

January 16, 2013

You can too! Change doesn’t require just hero’s and loud mouths. Revolution can come from quiet, reserved people as well- even cowards. Another good example of cowardice- stealing ideas. I took this idea of multi-tier dissent from Huffington Post or somewhere, not even sure. They are second tier and were talking about the flak the first tier gets. My addition to this concept of course is the third tier, the viewing gallery. The place where we can laugh, point and get angry without sparking too much ire from the establishment.

The Remi Review Episode 21 – Occupy

January 16, 2013

Interview with Derek Soberal. Occupy: not the wash of lazy violence the “news” tries to tell us it is. More CBC “journalism”…No product reviews or music vids this time, wanted to make space for Derek Soberal. Recorded on Sept 17 2012 the one year anniversary of the occupy movement. Still going strong, still growing – Civil unrest isn’t going away so long as oligarchs run the show and call it democracy! Turn off your TV!

Happiness From the Back of a Truck

March 30, 2011

Truck with creepy chimes drives into town plastered with corporate logos. Is there a driver, is it remote control? . . .Push the button on the back and receive your ration of poisoned sugar water. Naturally we crowd around to get ours, but you’ve got to be fast, the truck is only so big and there are only so many teats. Welcome to the future of food supply. . . .Hungrier the town is the less the truck slows down (for safety)- and if you’re on really hard times there are helicopters and nothing.

This video really made me laugh. Thanks!
This is fucked up.

You Can’t Vote With Your Wallet

April 3, 2010

I don’t want to vote with my wallet, I want to vote with my damn vote. Is that too much to ask in a democracy? I would like to see some big changes, can i vote for that somewhere? For me to be an actual member of this democratic tribe I need to have some sort of state legitimized ‘say’ on how we proceed. With partisan politics and government thoroughly infested with corporate influence, my opinion is completely un-registrable within the governing of this group- I am not a voting member. (more…)

Pretty Lousy Democracy.

September 3, 2009

We spend a third of our lives working, preparing for work, or traveling to and from work. . . . .While you’re at work you have submitted to the will of a dictator. Whoever your boss is, you listen to him and do what he says. Sure you can protest, offer alternatives etc. . . .In the end he is the boss and he has the final say- there is no vote, there is no free election at work. (more…)

How to Raise and Care for Companies.

August 18, 2009

By now, you’ve surely welcomed a company into your home; how can you not? They’re so adorable and persistent. Companies have made it into my home in my groceries, my shopped goods, through the internet- I even get them through the phone. And look out the window, what do you see? Companies. Right now their is a cute little Ford snuggling up to a Honda on my street, a company is (more…)
