The Remi Review Episode 16 – Capitalism

People who save money have it stolen through tax/interest and inflation. You can’t have Capitalism without capital flowing around and a fair system of trade! This isn’t Capitalism. They’ll blame the wealthy, but tax people with retirement savings to solve the current debt problem. Does anyone actually believe the rich pay taxes anyways?!? Also Toothbrushes and Rogers Comm and a tune by Remi at the end!

Regulated Market Equilibrium

Business is guided by regulations. There is no ‘free market’, there never will be. We will always need regulation- even in anarchy we’re restricted physically. There is always an obligation to some sort of rule. So when a person is pushing for a ‘free market’ they’re really just looking for less regulations. (more…)

There is no such thing as a “global recession”. A recession occurs when a country is having a tough time for some reason. They are loosing out to other countries in the world and have to deal with less. The old conservative principle was to help business to better the national economy. Sure they’re a dirty oil company, but their OUR dirty oil company. Cut corporate taxes to support them, subsidies to encourage growth, ease regulations, which in turn benefits us all- like giving the ball to your fastest player. (more…)

New Capitalism: the production and trade of packaging.

Read an interesting article, here in Ontario we are unable to process all our recycled goods. So we ship 40000 tonnes of plastic to China to be melted down and shipped back to us as cheap toys and such. Much of this tonnage is comprised of the water bottles that they use to sell us tap water with european names (more…)
