Taxing the Rich Solves Nothing

October 14, 2011

There seems to be a rebellious buzz springing forth to save us all from imminent poverty. Cool billionaires like Buffet and Gates are on board, stingy billionaires are crying foul. . .When billionaires disagree publicly, its probably because something is too good to be true. (more…)

Regulated Market Equilibrium

October 5, 2009

Business is guided by regulations. There is no ‘free market’, there never will be. We will always need regulation- even in anarchy we’re restricted physically. There is always an obligation to some sort of rule. So when a person is pushing for a ‘free market’ they’re really just looking for less regulations. (more…)

Pretty Lousy Democracy.

September 3, 2009

We spend a third of our lives working, preparing for work, or traveling to and from work. . . . .While you’re at work you have submitted to the will of a dictator. Whoever your boss is, you listen to him and do what he says. Sure you can protest, offer alternatives etc. . . .In the end he is the boss and he has the final say- there is no vote, there is no free election at work. (more…)

Remi On Liberty

June 1, 2009

Should all people just be able to do whatever they like or should we all be following some set of rules? All Good Authorities Are Goin’ Totalitarian

May 14, 2009

I’ve been getting into Twitter lately. Some real stupid comments on there, one guy made the claim that socialism plus time equals totalitarianism. . . .First of all, the two are incompatible; one can only exist at the exhaustion of the fundamentals of the other. Secondly, shit, name me a type of government that isn’t going to lead to totalitarianism with time. Capitalism’s certainly gone that route. If you have a boss, you are well aware that democracy doesn’t really happen in our day to day (more…)

Value

April 24, 2009

Does the value of a thing determine its price? Valuable things do often carry a high price. Does the price of a thing determine the value? Expensive things are often quite valuable. Are the value and price essentially the same thing? Does the bear shit in the woods? If the dog hadn’t stopped to piss he would have caught the rabbit. (more…)

Bullshit Copyright Laws

March 25, 2009

Hollywood chins were loosing revenue and tits through pitch correctors were leaking profits. Governments were forced to step in and ensure that good money can still be made from bad content. So we get stricter legislation on intellectual property (more…)

Would you drown in a pool full of Jello?

February 17, 2009

When i was a kid i often imagined the amazing things i would do with the oodles of money made from working a real job. One thrill i envisioned was filling my swimming pool with Jello and going for a dip. Sounds like fun, but i’m fairly certain i would wind up dead. (more…)
