Alright, I know some people preach this as the greatest upgrade in efficiency since the mechanical man. Multitasking is pretty fantastic, but its position in the hierarchy of efficiency must be considered. If you multi-task poorly, you risk doing a crappy job of any of your particular tasks. But more importantly, poor multitasking can interfere with your efficiency and lengthen the time it takes to finish. (more…)

Whoever your boss is, you listen to him and do what he says. Unconventional Beats Keep Rolling on Triangular Wheels!

I saw something on Discovery once that blew me away. They had a triangular object that could work exactly like a wheel. They placed two of these rounded triangles on a table spaced apart with a flat board laid on top. To my amazement the board could be pulled back and forth on top of the rolling triangles and had no up or down movement. (more…)

Poor Obama

Here he is talking about helping the poor and creating a better country and world, and these wealthy asshole investors pull their money out of the markets. “Helping the poor? whooa, count me out of that whole mess. I’m going to buy into gold or China instead”. These rich people don’t need to give a shit about the economy, no matter how bad it gets someone somewhere will keep producing Rolls-Royces and caviar. The old model of the universe came from Euclid and Newton: a 3D grid with time moving forward at an unflinchingly steady speed. As simple as a stack of graph paper under your alarm clock. This old model worked well for a very long time. Even when Fizeau discovered the uniformity of the speed of light, no one noticed a thing- until Einstein.
