You Can’t Vote With Your Wallet

I don’t want to vote with my wallet, I want to vote with my damn vote. Is that too much to ask in a democracy? I would like to see some big changes, can i vote for that somewhere? For me to be an actual member of this democratic tribe I need to have some sort of state legitimized ‘say’ on how we proceed. With partisan politics and government thoroughly infested with corporate influence, my opinion is completely un-registrable within the governing of this group- I am not a voting member. (more…)

We spend a third of our lives working, preparing for work, or traveling to and from work. . . . .While you’re at work you have submitted to the will of a dictator. Whoever your boss is, you listen to him and do what he says. I’ve been getting into Twitter lately. Some real stupid comments on there, one guy made the claim that socialism plus time equals totalitarianism. . . .First of all, the two are incompatible; one can only exist at the exhaustion of the fundamentals of the other. Secondly, shit, name me a type of government that isn’t going to lead to totalitarianism with time. Capitalism’s certainly gone that route.
